This broody farmyard hen was spotted sitting on a litter of kittens after they strayed in to her nest. A cat intruded on her usual nesting spot and used it to keep her kittens warm.
Instead of kicking up a fuss, the bird appeared to adopt the four kittens and sat on the kittens and their mother.
Husband and wife Linda and Richard Oldani captured the sight on camera at their farm in Clymer, New York.
